Welcome to the Rockton Cub Scout Pack 619's website!

Cubmasters Corner:

Hello Scouts and Parents,

As the school year rolls around, so does the scouting year get started. There’s still time to get in those last family outings and summertime fun before we see the school buses rolling through the neighborhood.

I hope that you had the opportunity to take part in some of the Cub Scout summertime fun too! From the parades, summer camp, the Rockford Speedway race, the campout at Blackhawk Farms Raceway, the pool party, and the Snappers baseball game.

One event that is coming up soon is our Fall Festival corn roast booth. If you didn’t get a chance to sign up for a time slot at the pool party, please make sure to get to the August 30th pack meeting to sign up. Every boy/parent is expected to work at least one shift during the weekend, bring a bag of charcoal to their shift, and wear their Class B uniform and a hat.

Another reason to make it to our August 30th pack meeting is to join in the fun at our popcorn sale kickoff. We will be sampling some of the great popcorn that we will be selling, watching a presentation, and having a “popcorn” themed pack meeting.

This is my first Cubmaster Corner as your new Cubmaster. It is a new role in the pack that I hope to have a lot of fun with, as well as promote Scouting in our community. I look forward to a great scouting year. We will be closing down the 100th year of Scouting and moving on to the future.

Thanks and happy scouting,

Todd Praneis
