Cubmasters Corner:
Hello Scouts and Parents,
It is hard to believe that summer vacation is just about upon us. Thanks to everybody that helped make this past scout
year a great one. With the advancements completed, we are able to close out the scout year with a bonfire. Although we
will not be having a pack meeting until late August, the summer will be full of events such as parades, summer camp, a
pool party, a night at the races, a Beloit Snappers baseball game, and camp activities.
One big event that the pack relies on in order to survive is the Roscoe Fall Festival Corn Roast. This event is a huge
source of income for the pack. Since this event occurs on a Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, it requires the participation
of every parent and scout. Sign-up for time slots will occur in August at the summer pool party and at the first Pack meeting
in August. Please make sure you contribute to this event. In general, we are in need of parents to volunteer for the various
responsibilities and events throughout the year. Together, we can ensure the best possible scouting experience for these fine boys.
I want to thank everybody for the opportunity to be your Cubmaster. The next Cub Scout year will start with Jon Werner being the
Pack Chairman, Todd Praneis as Cubmaster and Bryan Enos as your Assistant Cubmaster. Your boys will be in great hands with this
leadership team. I will continue to help in other functions within the Pack.
We hope that everybody has a great summer. Please note the dates in this Howler for the fun we have planned.
The leaders will be busy setting dates for events for the next scout year.
Thanks and happy scouting,
Max Golter
